I have worked within mental-health for the past fourteen years. I possess a wide range of experience in collaborative working and have provided highly specialised, specifically tailored, one to one and group support, addressing such issues as anxiety and stress situations.
I help individual's develop strategies, addressing issues associated with separation, transition, loss and trauma. I possess in-depth knowledge and experience of mental-health conditions such as autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and recognise when there is a need to refer to other services.
I follow a Professional Code of Practice and try to promote an environment in which diverse backgrounds and experiences are valued, treating all with respect and dignity.
I hold a Joint Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy/Media Sociology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychoanalytical Observational Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy.
And reflect on my skills and learning needs and address the gaps with appropriate CPD activity.
